Puglia Shopping - Shopping in Puglia Italy.

Shopping on holiday is usually fun and in Puglia it is no different. The problem I have always found is to actually find the shops in the first place. There never seems to be a "high road" like people are used to in the UK, the shops appear to be scattered all over the place, apart from souvenir shops centred around popular tourist spots. 

Opening Times - As a general rule shops in Puglia open from about 9.30am, close for siesta between 1pm-5pm, during the week, Saturday mornings and closed on Sunday.  I say "about" as many smaller shops do not even stick to their opening hours. There are a few, newer shopping malls, centred on a big supermarket, in and around the bigger towns that are open all day.  

Good buys in Puglia are women's clothes, trainers, shoes, handbags, food (except British brands) generally about one third cheaper than in the UK, although as the pound is up and down at the moment, you should double check before buying.  Do not forget to try the Puglia Markets and Puglia Shops for a complete list.
