The Castel del Monte is a designated World Heritage site due to its stunning design and condition. Situated near to Andria (a few miles north-west of Bari) this stunning 13th century medieval castle is a "must see" on your itinerary. It is open all year from 10am to 7.30pm (an hour earlier during the low season) and entrance fees are only 3 euros, with children and OAPs free.
